Established in September 1999,Shenzhen Dongjiang Environmental Company Limited (DJE) is a high technology driven environmental enterprise specialized in waste management and environmental services.

      DJE was listed on the Growth Enterprise Market (GEM) of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in January 2003 (Code 8230) and became the first privately owned environmental service enterprise of mainland Chinese origin to be traded in an offshore stock market.

      With rapid development over the past few years, DJE is now ranked amongst the top in technical and comprehensive strength within the industrial & hazardous waste treatment industry in China.

      The company has been elected in different occasions, as: Key Enterprise of Environmental Industry at State level and Guangdong Provincial level, "Major Demonstration Project of Resource Saving and Environmental Protection in China" entity, "The First Batch of Pilot Entities in Circular Economy in China".

DJE was ranked in ‘The Top 100 Potential Enterprises in China’ of ‘Forbes’ consecutively in 2005, 2006 and 2007.　

      1. DJE high growth rate based on its Unique Business Model and Reasonable Development Planning

       DJE has been closely focused on three core businesses as: Waste Treatment & Disposal, Resource Comprehensive Utilization and Environmental Service since foundation.  Based on its excellence in waste treatment, resource utilization and EP project operation capability, DJE has formed an unique business model of:

     1)offering a full range of and one stop waste management and environmental solutions, including waste collection, treatment and comprehensive utilization, environmental engineering design and facility construction & operation as well as environmental consultancy.

    2)converting wastes into raw material, energy and recovery products for sale through advanced technology and method.

During resent yeas, DJE realized rapid growth and has established business layout for industrial waste detoxification and recycling with a geographical presence covering the Pearl River Delta, the Yangzi River Delta and South-West China, including Shenzhen, Huizhou, Qingyuan, Shaoguan, Kunshan, Qingdao and Hunan Province, etc. 

    Currently, DJE has established the largest and most technical advanced heavy metal waste treatment and recycling base, and has constructed the first Hazardous Waste Comprehensive Treatment Demonstration Center Guangdong Province according to the international standard.

In 2007, the DJE collected and treated over 200,000 tons industrial wastes with sound social and economical benefits, and has been the leader company in industrial waste treatment in China.

 

       With rapid development in business scale, DJE’s operating result has grown by 40- 50% CAGR. For the year of 2007, DJE recorded RMB 683 million in revenue and RMB 141 million in net profit. And for the latest five years, the total tax turned in by DJE amounted over RMB 100 million.

 

As a fast growing hi-tech enterprise, DJE insists independent innovation development philosophy, and has spent more than 70 Million RMB in R&D totally, which has provided great technical support for the company’s business development.

      Dongjiang Research & Development Center (DJRDC) has finished over 50 research projects among which six are awarded national patents, nine are classified as major re search achievements, more than 20 are being applied in real production since foundation in 2001.  In 2006, ‘Dongjiang Environmental Science and Engineering R&D Center’ was ratified and began construction which will provide a remarkable important supporting platform for the new technology development in the company.

      Currently, the DJE owns several core technologies in the treatment and re-utilization of industrial waste liquids, residues and sludge, and has abundant technical experiences and research achievements in the field of waste water, E-waste, restaurant waste and Construction and Demolition waste as well as MSW treatment and comprehensive utilization. The strong R&D support has made the company business growing fast and realizing multiple products production.

Over the past few years, DJE has established multi-level and multi-area technical exchange and collaboration relationships with INRA of France, Tsinghua University, Peking University, Zhongnan University, Beijing Normal University, Tianjin University and Chinese Academy of Sciences Guangzhou Energy Research Institute etc., making the core technologies of DJE staying in the leading level in China.

 

Over the past few years, DJE has established good relationships with several global environmental groups, such as founding Joint Venture with the Heritage Environmental Group from US in 2003, and conducting TBCC (Tri-basic Chloride Copper) developing project using the most advanced waste copper liquid treatment and re-utilization technology worldwide.

      In 2005, DJE got the 30 year long concession right for the Guangdong Province Hazardous Waste Comprehensive Treatment Demonstration Center project, and began technical cooperation with the Veolia group from France for the project construction and operation.

      And in 2008, DJE established a joint venture with one of the world’s largest energy Group, AES AgriVerde, to develop green house gas emission reduction projects in China, which offers DJE a very favorable international cooperation platform in the field of renewable energy.

 

      4. Promising Perspective

       In the future, DJE will capitalize on the historical opportunities arising from the high speed development of the environmental industry in China by exerting its advantages technology and business scale and operation expertise, and dedicating itself to the detoxification, reduction and recycling of various kinds of wastes. DJE will continue to strength the R & D, innovation and development of original techniques on industrial and municipal waste management both in width and depth; and to increase the variety of waste recycling as well as recycled products’ added value.
